Love this too. I really relate to anxiety preventing you from enjoying work. I had never realised it would be this way for doctors too - I am guilty of finding medical professionals superhuman too!

I hope you will put your mental health first too. It's such a dilemma, because you don't want to let anxiety run your life and make decisions for you, but if you've tried to get past it for a long time, you do start to feel that if you don't quit, then you will be stuck managing anxiety forever.

My fear is that I would get anxiety in my next profession too... And is that catastrophic or realistic thinking? I've never been able to tell.

Whatever you choose, keep writing. You have helped a lot of people with this courageous and honest story.
