It is a deeply persona journey for those of us who use AA too, we just share the journey with each other. AA just adds an extra dimension to the recovery process, it doesn't ask its members not to journal or seek therapy or find what they love or how they can be useful. But it is dumb having to identify as an alcoholic, and so many people walk out because they can't. I nearly did many times.
